This event is Mens Only Solo 3hr race (Women please see Bella Buxton for the all women’s event that day) and Mens and Mixed teams racing on a new short course format.
Buxton Bootcamp Mens and Teams - Saturday 27th Nov 2021
The course for solo is roughly 12-14k of fast flowing singletrack deep in the beautiful forest in Buxton. If you haven’t ridden here before, then you’re missing out and this event will be your chance in this format!
Teams get to smash it out on a 5km course where you are not allowed to do more than 1 lap in a row. So get your tactics and team mates right.

Long Course – 3hr Solo The course itself is roughly a 12k loop which is practically a blue rated circuit, 100% singletrack which is bermed to an extent which makes for a fun fast flowing ride.
Short Course – 3hr Junior and Mixed teams
Solo – Men Only
3 Hour Under 19
3 Hour 20-39
3 Hour 40+
3 Hour 50+
3 Hour E-Bike
Teams – Men or Mixed 2 or 3 riders (same category)
Junior Under 19 Boys/Mixed Team
Open (any age) Men/Mixed Team
40+ Men/Mixed Team
50+ Men/Mixed Team
Note: All members of a team must be of that age bracket. IE all over 50 years of age on event day for 50+
Note: To be eligible of a junior category you must be under the age of 19 on the day of the race.
E-Bikes must but as per Australian Standards and limited to motor assistance to max speed of 25km/h
Scrutineering of bikes both before and after will be done.
E-Bikes can change batteries mid race
Big Hill Events reserve the right to deny race entry.
Buxton Bootcamp Race Rules:
- There must be a minimum of 5 teams/entrants in a category at an event for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes to be awarded
- If only 3 teams/entrants are in a category Big Hill Events has the right to only award prizes to 1st place
- All riders in 40+ team category must be over the age of 40 on race day
- In a team categories you must swap with a partner after every lap

Saturday Rego time – 10am to 3:45pm
Race Times
Start: 3:30pm (Mass Start for Solo and Teams)
No new laps after 6:30pm
Presentations: 7:15 Approx

Each category will be awarded to 1st 2nd and 3rd with the amazing Custom Chocolate Bar by Mildura Chocolate Company.
Camping
Camping will be available on Friday and Saturday nights ONLY – strictly no camping any other time at the Buxton MTB Park.

Insurance
Big Hill Events holds a current $20,000,000 Public Liability insurance policy. This does not cover any of its participants for their medical or property damage. We recommend all competitors hold a current Ambulance Victorian membership and consider Loss Of Income protection or Private Health that could cover any medical expenses that an accident could cause beyond what the Australian Medical system covers via Medicare.

Camp Marysville offers shared cabins for the Buxton Boot Camp. Each cabin sleeps four and has two bedrooms, each with twin single beds, and bathroom.
